Committee Report

Halton Catholic School Board convened a panel in order to address concerns about students’ access to the anti-Catholic text, The Golden Compass. The committee recommended that the book be returned to the shelves in the young adult section, as this age group was an appropriate audience. However, they did suggest removing it from elementary schools due to violence and language.
