As a student at the University of Mary Washington, I am passionate about anything and everything history. In my second year, I am majoring in Historic Preservation with a minor in Museum Studies and hope to one day become a museum curator.

Outside of working at my local historic house museum, you’ll find me reading, camping, and visiting national parks – particularly Civil War battlefields. I believe that working to protect and preserve our country’s most historic sites and structures is key to a better future. I am also a huge fan of World War I and World War II history (hence this website), with my favorite historical figure fitting right into WWII: General George C. Marshall. I also have a beautiful little black lab named Lilo (yes, after Lilo & Stitch) and spoil her rotten! We enjoy playing fetch on the shores of the Potomac River, walking through the neighborhood, and, of course, making plenty of time for belly rubs. Personal Blog

I’m a sophomore at the University of Mary Washington. I am a Biology major with a minor in Environmental Sustainability, and I am an Orientation Coordinator for Summer Orientation here at UMW. As a child, I loved to read, and I still do! My two dogs also love when I read, because it means a warm blanket and lap to cuddle up with (and belly rubs, of course!).

Reading books is a gateway to vital development in adolescents, and I stand by the right to read novels available. My mom, aunt, and  grandparents are all teachers, so I may be a bit biased. I have been blessed with amazing teachers at each grade level who help facilitate and encourage the search for knowledge, so I want to pass that along to anyone I can. Personal Blog
