This website is designed as a final project for the COPLACDigital course, A Burning Idea: Challenging and Censoring Books.

COPLACDigital is a program of the Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges, funded by the Mellon Foundation, that works to provide digital seminars and courses for students at colleges in the Council1. COPLACDigital has offered courses such as Fashion and Identity in Modern America and Conflict in America: Case Studies in Peace Making, in addition to A Burning Idea2

A Burning Idea: Challenging and Censoring Books, is a course that challenges students to examine dimensions of literary censorship, including the history of censorship and the effects of censorship in educational, social, and global settings3.
